BCC International No. 27 - January 1985

All creation is nothing but energy, and BCC is an expression of an extraordinary quality of energy. The history of BCC is the history of the evolution of this energy. Within the BCC culture, an intense form of evolution takes place during our management conferences.

BCC's branches in Panama provide an excellent example of the role the Group is playing worldwide. The two branches there are actively promoting the flow of goods from one part of the world to another. The BCC branch in the Free Zone opened in 1982. Although there has been no shortage of competition with 22 banks crowded into such a small area, BCC has gone from strength to strength.

BCC cards are increasingly getting ready to face the challenge of the future. The scope of the Card Centre's activities and the range of services now available have brought card products into prominence as part of a wider marketing strategy for BCC services.

The work of Central Credit Division is vital to the whole of BCC. Its style of functioning reveals a great deal about the culture and the ethos of our bank. The function of credit support has been at the heart of BCC's activities since the bank was founded in 1972. As the bank grew, the responsibilities in this area became more complex and demanding.
