BCC International No. 35 - May 1986

Travellers cheques are an ideal product for BCC. They are easy to sell, and they are profitable and risk free. They frequently provide leads to other business, and BCC's travellers cheques are a customer oriented product in a bank that is committed to service.

It has been decided at CSO that BCC will become a major sponsor for the 13th Commonwealth Games to be held in Edinburgh, Scotland, between July 24 and August 2 1986. The Commonwealth Games are held every four years. The Games have established for themselves a unique position in world sporting events, outranked only by the Olympics and the World Cup in football. More than 45 Commonwealth countries will take part in the Games and an estimated half a million people will attend. One billion people are expected to watch the Games on television all over the world.
