The International is BCC's very own inter-group house magazine. It has been launched as part of an overall internal communications exercise and it is intended to keep our bank staff throughout the world up to date with BCC news and activities.
Our bank's growth and progress has been remarkable during its short existence and its future success will be documented in The International, which we expect to publish every second month.
BCC's commitment to the future prosperity of African countries is nowhere stronger than in the tiny landlocked kingdom of Swaziland in Southern Africa. Our bank has just opened two branches of which the most recent was honoured by the presence of King Sobouza, who became the Manzini branch's very first customer. The fact that the King attended the official opening of the branch in person was a great honour for our bank and the branch as it is not customary for his Royal Highness to endorse business enterprises setting up in his country. In fact, King Sobouza has taken a keen interest in our bank's operations right from its inception. Forty-five per cent of our bank's shares are held by the King's Trust so perhaps it is not surprising that he was the branch's first customer and keen to 'keep an eye on the shop'.
