The Seychelles branch was opened on 22 May, 1976. Its main business is tourism and it is proud to have the largest foreign exchange business out of the six banks operating in Seychelles, and this fact has been acknowledged by the Seychelles Monetary Authority. The BCC booth at the airport which attends to the needs of the tourists assists in maintaining this position. The charm of the Seychelles lies in its peacefulness, its unspoilt beauty and its cheerful easy going people. The Seychelles consists of 92 islands and its total population is approximately 62,000, 90 per cent of whom live on Mahe which is the largest island. It is 17 miles long and five miles wide.

Last year, with the coming into profit, BCC Paris finally turned the crucial comer. All this was made possible by the devoted and relentless efforts of the staff, particularly those who joined the branch from its inception. We pride ourselves in having a multinational staff reflecting the true spirit of the international character of our bank. After all, what is an organisation if not the people who make it work?
