Here is a first glimpse of some images from the world of BCC from photographs of employees (members of the BCC family), people, events, and memorable moments in BCC's history published in the bank's in-house magazine, BCC International. The selection includes photographs contributed by BCC employees and their families and those obtained from other sources. Some are duplicated in other section pages where photographs are immediately associated with specific subject matters.

United Kingdom: Mr J. D. Van Oenen who joined BCCI board in 1976 as a director and was based in central office London. He was previously with the Bank of America where he was known as "the senior co-ordinator of global foreign exchange money markets and investment activities".  Prior to joining Bank of America he worked in Bombay, now Mumbai and Calcutta, now Kolkata (India) Colombo  (Sri Lanka) and Bangkok (Thailand). At Bank of America, he opened the bank’s Karachi office. Coincidentally this branch was in the same building as the United Bank. It was here that Mr Van Oenen first met BCC President Agha Hasan Abedi. In 1969, Mr Van Oenen was transferred to the Bank of America's London office. When BCCI was incorporated in September 1972, he was appointed a Bank of America representative on the board of BCCI. " At the time 25 per cent of BCC's capital was subscribed by the Bank of America.  However, in 1973 he joined the Bank of Montreal as executive vice-president and after he retired in 1976, it was at this point that Mr Abedi asked him to rejoin the BCCI.
