Here is a first glimpse of some images from the world of BCC from photographs of employees (members of the BCC family), people, events, and memorable moments in BCC's history published in the bank's in-house magazine, BCC International. The selection includes photographs contributed by BCC employees and their families and those obtained from other sources. Some are duplicated in other section pages where photographs are immediately associated with specific subject matters.

Pakistan: Delegation from the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry at BCC House in Karachi. BCC Karachi also hosted a dinner for the delegation.
United Arab Emirates: Left ta Right H. E. Felix N. Fedotov Ambassador of the USSR in UAE and Mr Vladimir A. Drovossekov Deputy Chairman of Bank for Foreign Trade of the USSR with Sheikh Nahayan bin Mubarak Al Nahayan Chairman and Mr Bashir Tahir General Manager of BCC(Emirates) Abu Dhabi.
Egypt: Officials of VISA Middle East Regional with officers of BCC Misr in Cairo. On 12 January 1987 BCC Misr acted as hosts to the VISA Middle East Regional meeting. Twenty-two banks from the region attended, together with three senior executives from VISA. In the centre of the photograph are Mr Patrick Bowden, General Manager of VISA International EMEA, Dr A Chalabis, Chairman of Petra Bank Jordan, Dr Sadeq, General Manager of Arab Financial Services Bahrain, and Mr Aminuzzaman of BCC Misr Card Centre in Cairo. BCC Misr launched its own Egyptian pound VISA Card in 1986 and handled all merchant operations in Egypt for the VISA and Mastercard organisations.
United Arab Emirates: A delegation from Banque Marocaine du Commerce Exterieur of Casablanca, Morocco, who visited the BCC Emirates Abu Dhabi Head Office. Canada: At the symposium conducted by the South Asia Partnership (NGO) on poverty in South Asia attended by officers of BCC Ottawa. South Asia Partnership account maintained their bank account with BCC Ottawa branch. Mr Richard Harmston (on the far left), President of the NGO spoke highly of the services BCC Canada rendered to their organisation and commented on BCC's active participation in Third World development projects. Also in the picture (from second left to right): Mr Amer Mahmood, Manager BCC Ottawa; The Hon. Monique Landry, Minister of External Relations and President of the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA); and Mr Jean Loiselle, President of SAP Canada, market leader in enterprise application and software. 
Nigeria: At a reception held by BCCI Nigeria in Lagos for executives from International Division, headed by Mr Akhtar Anis (in the centre), visiting Nigeria to explore avenues of cooperation between BCCI Group and commercial and merchant banks in Nigeria. Mr Ahmed Raza, Managing Director BCCI Nigeria is in the centre.

Isle of Man:
Officers of BCCI Isle of Man branch with representatives of the Isle of Man College of Further Education following agreement to sponsor a public speaking and presentation competition, to be open to students of the Business and Management Studies Department of the Isle of Man College of Further Education. Their presentations required to have a sales and marketing orientation, although within this requirement students were free to select a specific subject of their choice. Entrants were initially judged by the college, and the best four took part in a finals night adjudicated by a panel consisting of nominees from BCC, the college, and the Isle of Man Chamber of Trade and Industry.

Bangladesh: BCCI Bangladesh sponsored the BCCI CUP INTER-UNIVERSITY CRICKET CHAMPIONSHIP 87 from 22 to 27 March 1987 at the University of Dhaka cricket ground. All six of the country's universities participated in the tournament. Professor Abdul Mannan, the Vice­ Chancellor of Dhaka University presented the cup to the winner, the University of Chittagong. Mr M.A. Rashid, General Manager, BCCI, Bangladesh was a special guest.
United Arab Emirates: A Chinese delegation who visited the head office of BCC (Emirates) Abu Dhabi in June 1987. The delegation led by Mr Wang Guing, vice chairman of the China People's Consultative Political Conference and chairman and president of China Everbright Holding Co. Ltd, also held a meeting with the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company, and a reception was held in their honour by BCC (Emirates) at the Abu Dhabi Sheraton hotel.

Philippines: Right to left: Mr Anwarul Amin (General manager, BCCI Beijing); Mr Jawwad Haider (Manager BCCI Tokyo); Mr Masco Fujioka, president of the Asian Development Bank (ADB); Mrs Fujioka and a guest at a reception in Manila on the occasion of the 1987 Annual Meeting of the ADB attended by finance and economic planning ministers, senior government officials, representatives of the multilateral development bank community, investment bankers, representatives of nongovernment organisations and members of the media.
Pakistan: Mr Jimmy Carter, former US President and Chairman of Global 2000, with his wife Mrs Rosalyn Carter, Mr Agha Hasan Abedi BCC President and co-chairman, in BCCI Karachi branch. Mr Carter and Mr Abedi were on visit (Mr Carter’s first) to Pakistan to brief local officials on the activities and scope of Global 2000, a nonprofit-making organisation formed in 1980 as part of the Carter Presidential Centre to tackle Third World problems such as hunger, health, education and environmental matters. BCC was a part of the Global 200 initiative and contributed funds towards various projects in Asia and Africa.
Nigeria: Mr Ahmed Raza, Managing Director (seated) with Chairman, Mr Alhaji Ibrahim Dasuki  BCCI (Nigeria) presenting a cheque for N3 milion (then equivalent to US$2.99 million) from BCCI to the President of Nigeria, as a donation to the Government and people of Nigeria. This sum was part of BCC’s contribution to the revamping of the depressed economy following Nigeria's rejection of the IMF loan and its attached conditions.

United Kingdom: Mr Howard Palmer of BCC’s International Management Development (IMD) central office London. He led the seminar from BCC’s London Academy on Documentary Letter of Credit, the principal banking document used in foreign trade, to provide bank security for the payment of goods passing from exporter to importer. The seminar was held in Isle of Man, United Kingdom and organised by the
BCCI Isle of Man branch.
Kuwait: The cricket team of Kuwait International Finance Company (KIFCO). The finance company was established by BCCI when Kuwait did not allow foreign banks to enter the local market. KIFCO celebrated its tenth year in the sport in 1986 with a particularly successful season in 1985-86, winning five out of the eight major tournaments in which it played in Kuwait.
United Kingdom: Cash counter at BCCI London main branch as 100 Leadenhall Street.
China: Mr Javed Ali Khan, BCC (Emirates), at the Sixth Business Leaders Symposium at the Great Hall of People in Beijing. Mr Khan is with H. E. Yuan Bao Hua of the Economic Commission of the State of the People's Republic of China.
Bangladesh: His Excellency Lt. Gen. H M Ershad, President of Bangladesh, Mr Jimmy Carter, former President of USA and Chairman of Global 2000 (on the left) and Mr Agha Hasan Abedi, BCC President and Co-Chairman of Global 200 (first on right) at the Bangladesh President House. They met to discuss projects Global 2000 projects in Bangladesh. BCC was part of the GLOBAL 2000 programmes on improving the quality of life throughout the Third World and contributed funds towards various.
United Arab Emirates: At BCC (Emirates) head office in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Left to Right H. E. Felix N. Fedotov Ambassador of the USSR in UAE; Mr Vladimir A. Drovossekov Deputy Chairman of Bank for Foreign Trade of the USSR; Sheikh Nahayan bin Mubarak Al Nahayan Chairman of BCC(Emirates); Mr Bashir Tahir General Manager of BCC(Emirates) Abu Dhabi.  This is the first ever visit to BCC by any Soviet banker.
India: BCC's performance among foreign banks in India.
United Kingdom: Cambridge University – in 1987 home to 400 Commonwealth students. BCC was a vital supporter of the Cambridge Trust, enabling the Trust (and Cambridge's Chancellor's Fund which covers countries outside the Commonwealth) permanently to endow nineteen BCCI Cambridge Scholars annually from Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Zambia, Zimbabwe and the People's Republic of China. Under the chairmanship of the Prince of Wales, the trustees included Mr Agha Hasan Abedi (BCC President), Sir James Callaghan (former British Prime Minister), Lord Carrington (member of the House of Lords in the British Parliament), Mr L. K. Jha (eighth Governor of the Reserve Bank of India), Dr Kenneth Kaunda (first President of Zambia) and Sir Shridath Ramphal (second Commonwealth Secretary-General based in London).
Pakistan: School children in Pakistan who were part of the Pakistan computer literacy project started out of BCC's overall desire to participate in the development of third world countries. The literacy project was started in 1983 by Management Services Division of BCC central office in London.
